Team Talk: Featherstone Rovers (H) Preview

This Sunday we are back at home, looking to get back to winning ways against Championship promotion hopefuls Featherstone Rovers.

Brian McDermott’s men will also be wanting to get back on the horse as they were comfortably beaten by Leigh Centurions at last weekend’s Summer Bash.

Fullback Jack Owens has been for a scan on a hamstring injury sustained last week during a training session. The initial diagnosis shows that Jack could be out of action for the next four weeks.

Callum Field will miss this weekend’s clash with Featherstone as he is ineligible as part of the loan agreement between the two clubs.

Kenny Baker missed the Summer Bash fixture with a rib injury and will be assessed through the week with a decision to be made on his eligibility for Sunday to be made later in the week.

Shane Grady is still recovering from a groin problem and is well into his rehab programme with the Strength and Conditioning staff.

Adam Lawton will serve the second of his two-match ban as a result of his sending off against Newcastle Thunder.

Ollie Brookes has joined in some first team training and has been picking up his running metres with the Strength and Conditioning staff.

Danny Craven has picked up a calf issue during the loss to Barrow on Sunday and will be assessed through the week by the club physio.

Halfback Matty Smith also sustained a knock to the knee and similarly to Danny, will be checked through the week by the medical team before a decision is made on whether he will be available for Sunday.
