Widnes Vikings is looking for a reliable, organised and committed Team Manager / Kit Manager to join our club for the upcoming season.
This is a key role within the club, working closely with the coaching staff and players to ensure the team is fully prepared for training, matchdays and away fixtures.
The role is currently undertaken with a single candidate, but the club are open to possibility of the roles being split and as such have listed the responsibilities separately.
Key Responsibilities -Team Manager
- Liaise with coaching staff regarding matchday and training requirements
- Assist with team administration and matchday organisation
- Coordinate equipment and kit for away travel
- Ensure the team has everything required before, during and after fixtures
- Act as a key point of contact between players, coaching staff and club officials
- Organise Travel with appointed travel partners for away fixtures
- Organise attendance at events (both club and community)
- Help maintain a professional and organised team environment
Key Responsibilities -Kit Manager
- Manage all team playing kit and equipment
- Prepare, issue and collect playing kit for training and matches
- Arranging collection and delivery of kit with laundrette
- Prepare the changing room and matchday equipment
- Ensure all team equipment is packed and ready for home and away fixtures
- Manage stock levels and arrange replacement kit and equipment when required
- Maintain an accurate record of team kit and equipment
- Reporting damaged, missing or required equipment to the Team Manager
The Ideal Candidate
- Reliable, punctual and highly organised
- Proactive and able to work independently
- A good communicator who works well with players and coaches
- Comfortable working in a busy sporting environment
- Flexible and available for evening training and weekend fixtures
- Prepared to travel with the team
- Passionate about Rugby League
- Previous experience as a Team Manager, Kit Manager or in a sporting environment is desirable but not essential
