Biography

Wigan born Sam returns to the Vikings after a handful of appearances in 2016 and 2017, in a career which has also seen him represent Halifax, Whitehaven, Rochdale, Featherstone, Leigh, Swinton, and Barrow. He played his junior rugby with Wigan St. Pats, who he joined at the age of 6, progressing through the Scholarship programme to the Warriors Academy, and gaining representative honours for the Service Area and Lancashire U16's, before joining Halifax where he made his senior debut. Citing his Dad as the major influence on his career 'Brooksy' names his debut for Scotland against France in 2015 and subsequent appearances against Australia and England in the 2016 Four Nations Tournament as his career highlights. His immediate ambition is to cement a place in the Vikings first team and help them qualify for the playoffs, having made his Super League debut with the club against Catalans Dragons in Perpignan in 2016. Away from the game Sam enjoys a round of golf and is a keen supporter of Liverpool FC.
