Warrington-born Matt played for Warrington Rugby Union club until the age of 16 when he joined the Wolves Scholarship programme, also playing for Bold Miners rugby league club from where he joined his local club. The former pupil of Bridgewater High School made his Saints debut against Leeds in 2015, later claiming his first senior try against the Vikings before signing for London in 2018, after loan spells with Leigh and London Skolars, and later moving on to Dewsbury. Crediting the support of his family as having the biggest influence on his career, ‘Flem’ adds that his debut for Saints ranks as his career highlight while his ambition is to have a long career and play at the highest level possible.
