Born in Whitehaven, Jordan returned to Widnes after spending 3 years with Hull FC. He played his first rugby with the Kells club before joining the Cumbria Storm Academy. Whilst with the Storm he spent a month with Widnes in 2014 before making his senior debut during a one-month loan with home-town Whitehaven in 2015. The Combined Regional Academy representative signed Academy forms in 2015, going on to achieve his ambition of playing in the Super League. Uncompromising in defence, and possessing a good running and kicking game his impressive performances saw him remain at Widnes until 2019. Naming his mother as the biggest influence on his career ‘JJ’ names the 1895 Cup Semi-Final victory against Leigh and playing at Wembley – albeit being knocked out after just 4 minutes – as his career highlights along with the move to Hull. After spending the latter part of 2023 on loan at Castleford, the Cumbrian’s ambition is to help the Vikings return to Super League. He passed 100 appearances for Widnes and 150 career games during 2024. Away from rugby he enjoys playing golf, follows Manchester United, and is currently working towards becoming a qualified electrician.
