Born in Pontefract and a former pupil of The Snaith School Callum began his junior career with Selby Warriors at the age of eight. He went on to play for Knottingley Rockware and Stanley Rangers before joining the Scholarship

programme at Wigan Warriors and progressing through the Academy structure to make his senior debut against Swinton in the Challenge Cup in May 2017, followed a week later by his Super League debut against Warrington at the Magic Weekend. ‘Fieldy’ names his Dad and amateur coaches David Sowden and Paul Lord as the major influences on his career while citing Under 19 Grand Final wins against St Helens and Castleford among his career highlights, while his ambition is to improve as a player and enjoy his rugby. When not playing rugby Callum enjoys most sports and keeping fit in addition to working as a Bathroom fitter and plasterer.
