Max Roberts

Bolton-born Max attended Westleigh School and began playing rugby at the age of 5 with Atherton Dragons and subsequently playing for Leigh Miners Rangers and Blackbrook. Progressing through the Wigan scholarship and Academy structure he remained with the Warriors, playing in the reserves, until he was 19 when he moved on to Oldham where he made his senior debut. After a season with the Roughyeds, he moved on to Swinton in 2022 where he claimed 16 tries in his 23 games. Max names his Grandparents as the major influence on his fledgling career to date while his highlight is helping Swinton to win promotion from League 1. The immediate ambitions for the England Under 16 International are to have an injury-free season while targeting a regular spot in the first team and reaching the playoffs. Away from rugby, he is following a career as a teacher while enjoying MMA, darts, and golf.
