Recap
Widnes made it four from four with a brilliant 10-36 victory over Dewsbury Rams live on Premier Sports in Round Four of the Betfred Championship.
Ste Tyrer and Joe Lyons came in to start the game in two changes to last week’s starting 13, replacing Joe Edge and the injured Danny Craven. Shane Grady also made his return from injury in the interchanges.
The Vikings got off the mark seven minutes into the contest when Joe Lyons spotted the chance to send Lloyd Roby racing under the sticks.
The hosts pulled level through Harry Kidd 23 minutes into the contest after a dummy and break from Matty Beharrell.
Widnes got back in front half an hour in, after a great short-side play which sent Roby flying over for his second of the night.
The Rams pulled one back before half time through Keenen Tomlinson, but Matty Beharrel was unable to convert so the Vikings took a two-point lead into the break.
Widnes pulled away again early in the second half when Adam Lawton powered through to break the line and set Brad Holroyd racing away out wide.
Tyler Dupree got over an hour into the contest after a feed from Fozard to stretch the lead to 14, before Joe Lyons played a one-two with Brad Holroyd to get under for his first of the season.
Adam Lawton crashed over late on to secure the win for the Vikings who made it four wins from four.
