Widnesian Joe played his junior rugby with the Moorfield club, initially linking up with the Vikings’ Development Squad at the age of 11 and going on to represent the Widnes Town Team before joining the club’s Scholarship programme. The former Saints Peter and Paul pupil subsequently had a spell with local rivals Warrington before returning to his-home-town club and making his senior debut. ‘Edgey’ has represented England at Under 15 & Under 16 levels and names his first team debut, in which he claimed 4 goals, among his career highlights along with winning the Coach’s and Players’ Player of the Year Awards in 2023 and establishing himself as a first team ‘regular’. He has now passed both 50 appearances and 150 points for the club. next target is to play at the highest level possible. Away from rugby Joe is pursuing a career in Painting and Decorating and is also a keen Manchester United fan.
