Widnes Vikings have signed forward Jack Billington from Betfred Super League side Huddersfield Giants on loan for the rest of the season.
The 21-year-old has made 12 Super League appearances for the Giants, as well as spending time in the Championship with Sheffield, Batley, Barrow and Dewsbury in previous years.
He goes straight into contention for this weekend’s trip to Salford Red Devils.
Vikings head coach Allan Coleman said: “Jack is a player I’ve tried to get a few times. He’s a strong, powerful and quick middle.
“He’s got a bit of Super League experience but he’s still relatively young. He’s powerful with a lot of leg drive, a massive impact player, and we’re really excited to get him in a Widnes jersey.”
