Rochdale born Deacon began playing rugby at the age of six with the Rochdale Mayfield club before the Holligworth Academy student joined the Warrington Scholarship and Academy programme, which also included one appearance on loan for the Bradford Academy side. Having represented Ireland U16s in matches against Wales and England he names his Dad as the major influence on his career to date and cites his international appearances and a tour to Australia with Warrington in 2023 as his career highlights. The ambitions of the Apprentice Joiner are to stake a claim for a 1st team place and for the club to reach the playoffs/
