Workout with the Vikings – LIVE

Widnes Vikings can confirm that Ted and Jay Chapelhow will be performing LIVE fitness sessions at 11am every weekday to help keep you active while staying at home.

The live sessions with the Vikings First Team members are part of a new initiative launched by the club, aimed at encouraging our local community to remain physically and mentally active while providing opportunities to socialise using technology.

Ted and Jay will be going LIVE on our Facebook page at 11am each weekday, so make sure you have liked and followed our page and get yourself set up early so you’re ready to go for the start of the workout.

All local schools have been notified of these sessions so they can be distributed to children who are learning from home, as well as being utilised by children of key workers who remain in school.

Anybody can join in though, as the free sessions are accessible to those of all fitness levels and abilities.

During these difficult times it can be easy to neglect our physical and mental wellbeing, however it is important that we remain active while staying safe by adhering to government guidelines.

That’s why we will be producing workouts that can be done from the comfort of your own home, whether that is the back garden or in your living room, aimed at keeping your activity levels high throughout the current situation.

It is important that we pull together as a community to support one and other through these uncertain times, and all of our staff at Widnes Vikings will be doing all we can to repay the great acts of kindness which have been shown to us in the past.

When we needed you the most, you came together and saved our club, now we want to repay each and every one of you by keeping you mentally and physically active despite the current situation.

Why not set up your phone, tablet, laptop or computer ready to join Ted and Jay for a workout out with the Vikings, while staying home and saving lives.

Please note, all live sessions will be posted again on all of our social media platforms and website following the end of the live stream so that you can also complete the workout at a later time or date. Sessions should last around 40 minutes, which includes a warm-up, 30 minutes session and cool down.
