Widnes Vikings can confirm our captains for the 2024 season.
Jack Owens will continue as club captain, as he enters his 11th season and testimonial period with the Vikings.
Whilst prop Callum Field and new signing Rhodri Lloyd have been appointed as vice-captains.
Head coach, Allan Coleman said: “It was a no-brainer for me to have Jack as captain.
“He leads everything we do on and off the field and is a player we all look up to and respect.
“He is someone I feel will make us stronger as a team and that person must be our captain.”
He added: “Callum and Rhodri are very similar players in my eyes, they both work tremendously hard and never ask anyone to do something they wouldn’t do.
“They are brilliant role models for all the players we have within the squad and that’s something I want from day one.
“I am very fortunate at Widnes to have players who will lead automatically without those designated roles, so within the squad, we have a real good mix of leadership.”
