Widnes Vikings’ fixtures for the 2022 Betfred Championship campaign have been announced, with the season set to start on Sunday 30 January with a trip to London Broncos.
As confirmed yesterday, the Vikings will then host newly-promoted Workington Town in their opening home game of the season at 3pm on Sunday 6 January.
The Vikings’ first Monday Night Rugby League clash, live on Premier Sports, will be on Monday 21 February at Dewsbury Rams in a 7.45pm kick-off. Widnes will also fill the same bill in the following round when they host another newly-promoted side in Barrow Raiders at 7.45pm on Monday 7 March.
There’s another Monday Night Rugby League fixture in Round 7 when Simon Finnigan’s men travel to play his former side Newcastle Thunder in a 7.45pm start. The only other Monday night slot scheduled is a Round 12 trip to Sheffield Eagles for another 7.45pm kick-off on Monday 23 May, also live on Premier Sports.
Widnes host relegated Leigh Centurions in a tasty clash on Good Friday, 15th April with a 3pm kick-off scheduled at the DCBL Stadium.
The Vikings’ final home game of the 2022 campaign will be the visit of Halifax Panthers at 3pm on Sunday 4 September, with the final game of the season scheduled as a trip to Bradford Bulls for a 3pm kick-off on Sunday 11 September at Odsal.
2022 Season Tickets went on general sale this week, with supporters able to take advantage of a 10% discount with our Early Bird prices available until Wednesday 15 December.
2022 Season Ticket holders can also take advantage of a 40% discount on an annual subscription to Premier Sports to watch all of the Monday night fixtures and more.
2022 Season Tickets are available to purchase online, or at the Club Shop at Widnes Market any time between 10am and 4.30pm on a Thursday, Friday or between 10am and 3pm on a Saturday.

Further details of the Summer Bash fixtures and the venue for the Betfred Championship, and the Play-Off structures for the Betfred Championship and League 1, will be announced in due course.
There are no fixtures scheduled for the weekend of June 18-19, which has been kept clear for mid-season internationals.
Two rounds of Betfred Championship fixtures have been scheduled for the four-day Bank Holiday Weekend from June 2-5 celebrating Her Majesty the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee – which follows the finals of the Betfred Challenge Cup and the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday May 28.
Further details of the Betfred Challenge Cup and the AB Sundecks 1895 Cup, including the date of the First Round Challenge Cup draw, will be released later this month.
