Jack, born in Whiston began playing rugby at the age of five with Thatto Heath and Clock Face Miners. The Sutton Academy student later joined he Vikings’ Scholarship programme and progressed to the club’s Academy where he captained the side in his final year, also winning the Academy Player of the Year Award. Moving on to North
Wales Crusaders in 2017 he amassed over 100 appearances before spending 2024 with Swinton prior to returning to Wales in 2025. He names his parents, partner and former teammate the late Liam Walsh as major influences on his career to date along with Carl Forster and Stuart Simmons and Anthony Murray at Crusaders. Naming winning the League 1 Championship in 2025 as his career highlight – having previously lost two Finals – Jack’s ambition is to fight for his shirt and prove he belongs at Widnes while aiming for a top 3 finish. Away from rugby he works as a Deputy Manager in a Children’s Residential Home and enjoys spending time with his family, walking his dog and supports Manchester United.
