We can confirm the loan signing of prop forward Eribe Doro from Warrington Wolves on an initial one-month deal ahead of this Sunday’s Betfred Championship opener.
Eribe joined the Vikings on loan at the beginning of last season and started Widnes’ first three Betfred Championship games in 2021, bagging one try against Dewsbury Rams in Round 2 before being recalled by his parent club in April.
The England youth international returned to Warrington and scored a try against Leigh Centurions in a 44-18 victory.
Doro adds more size and aggression to a strong, youthful pack of middles for Simon Finnigan’s 2022 squad.
On re-joining Widnes, Eribe said: “I’m really happy to be back and I’m looking forward to the time I’m going to spend at the club.
“I enjoyed the environment last year and really got on with Simon and the lads, so I’m looking to help the boys here and do my bit for them. I can’t wait to get stuck in.”
The 20-year-old will start training with the Vikings this evening and will be in contention for Sunday’s game at London Broncos.
