Allan Coleman has named his squad for the Vikings’ pre-season clash with Warrington Wolves at the Halliwell Jones Stadium this Friday (7:30pm).
Former Warrington academy product Deacon Connolly could play against his former club after joining the Vikings following a successful trial period.
Fellow new recruit, Jack Houghton, will also go straight into action after his signing on Monday.
The Vikings are without five players for Friday’s clash with the Wire.
Adam Lawton (Knee) and Tom Gilmore (Hernia) are unavailable, having had off-season surgeries, with both expected to miss the first few 2-3 weeks of the season.
Danny Langtree is nearing a return from a pectoral injury suffered last season, but has been left out of the squad for Friday’s game as a precaution.
The final injury absentee is young winger, Frank Sergent, who suffered a lower leg injury in pre-season. He is now off crutches and will be back running in 1-2 weeks.
Morgan McWhirter is not included, having been allowed to return home to Australia for the festive period. He returns to the UK next week and will be available for selection ahead of our Championship opener against London.
