Widnes Vikings are pleased to announce the return of our U18’s Development Trials.
The trials are taking place on Tuesday 16th September and Tuesday 23rd September.
For decades, Widnes Vikings have been recognised as a club built on developing young talent. Our pathway has helped shape players who have gone on to shine in Super League, the Championship, and of course, here at Widnes, where several members of our current First Team squad are proud products of the Vikings system.
That tradition of nurturing players continues today through our development programme, offering ambitious young athletes the chance to grow both on and off the field.
What the trials offer
From these sessions, a selected group of players will be offered the opportunity to:

Train alongside the Widnes Vikings First Team during pre-season

Work directly with professional Strength & Conditioning coaches

Receive support from our physiotherapy and medical staff

Be integrated into a pathway closely connected to the professional game
Importantly, players chosen for the programme will still be able to represent their community rugby clubs, ensuring they can continue to enjoy grassroots rugby alongside this exciting new opportunity.
