Widnes Vikings are delighted to support Liam Mahoney in his fundraiser for Cure Leukemia which will see him cycle the full Tour de France route from 22 June – 14 July.
He is completing this challenge alongside a team of 21 other cyclists to collectively raise over £1m for Cure Leukemia.
Liam has a personal commitment to raise over £30,000 and is the only rider from the North West of the UK, as a Widnes resident, he wants to maximise the support of his local community to help him reach his fundraising target.
Mahoney said: “I can’t underestimate the challenge that lies ahead of me both physically and financially but I am determined to smash both elements.
“I’m looking for the support of my local community to help me reach my goals and give me the encouragement to cross the finish line.
“I’d welcome the opportunity for awareness and perhaps other ideas we can collaborate on to help with the above.”
