Widnes Vikings fell to a 34-20 defeat away at York City Knights in Round 16 of the Betfred Championship, as a disappointing second half cost the Vikings the points.
Widnes took a 12-20 lead into the break thanks to tries from Jack Owens, who surpassed 800 points for the club and became the ninth-highest points scorer in the club’s history, Deon Cross, Joe Lyons and Ste Tyrer.
However, four second-half tries from the hosts meant defeat on the road for Simon Finnigan’s men.
