On December 13th at the DCBL Stadium, we are proud to bring you ‘AN EVENING WITH JOHN DEVEREUX’ as the Welsh Sports Hall of Famer returns for one night only.
Fans can secure a place at the exclusive event for £25 per ticket which includes his new biography called “Double Dragon, Double Lion” the story of John’s career which of course included his time at Widnes in which he played 185 matches, scoring 120 tries!
Also included is a signed copy of the book (price £13.99), a pie and peas supper, and a question and answer session with John, Big Jim Mills, and some of his teammates from his successful period with the Vikings. Confirmed so far are Andy Currier, Darren Wright, Mike O’Neill, Paul Hulme, David Hulme, and Steve McCurrie.
During his time at Naughton Park, Devereux helped the club win the Lancashire Cup in 1990 and the Regal Trophy two years later.
The winger was selected in the Great Britain Rugby League squad that toured the Southern Hemisphere in 1992, as well as making 12 appearances for Wales from 1991-2000.
Devereux made his return to Widnes in March of last year as he appeared on the pitch as a special guest during our clash with Toulouse at the DCBL Stadium.
We caught up with John on his last visit to the DCBL Stadium in March 2023.
Doors will open at 7 pm, with the evening set to start at 7:30 pm. Corporate tables of 10 can be booked for a price of £250.
The dress code for the evening is smart casual.
