Widnes Vikings are working alongside Halton Borough Council to finalise details surrounding the return of spectators to the DCBL Stadium.
Fans are allowed to return to sporting venues from Monday 17th May, meaning that the Vikings’ fixture with Whitehaven on Sunday 23rd May will be the first in front of fans for over a year.
An independent safety meeting is being held on Friday morning, after which we are hoping to release full information on the process of booking your seat for the Whitehaven, London and Sheffield fixtures.
Given the issues with social distancing, we are aware that these three match days at least will be different to what supporters are used to, but the club and Council are doing all they can to ensure a safe return of fans.
Our systems are in place, with work going on behind the scenes in the last couple of months, and we’re hoping that after Friday’s meeting we will be able to bring full information to all of our supporters.
Once again, we would like to remind all Season Ticket holders that they will not need their Season Ticket card to gain entry to the stadium for these three fixtures. Instead, after booking your seat you will be sent an E-Ticket which you will need to produce in order to enter the game.
As was mentioned in our initial Season Ticket communications, once cards are ready for collection and have been posted out we will email all ST holders and provide an update on our website and social media.
