Vikings players Joe Edge and Joe Lyons made the latest visit of the ’12 visits of Christmas’ last night.
David Roderick, 46, was nominated for a visit from the Vikings by his father Chris Roderick.
David has a severe learning disability and is also von-verbal autistic, despite this David is an extremely friendly and caring individual.
An example of his caring attitude to others is displayed by the fact that one of the staff who helps care for David, is about to start maternity leave, and David has helped with all the household chores to ensure that she is not overexerting herself.
David is a Vikings season ticket holder and also a valued member of the Vikings Learning Disability Rugby League team.
The way in which David approaches his disability and life is admirable and everyone at the Vikings is delighted to provide him with a visit from the lads.
It was fantastic to see how pleased he was to meet Joe Edge and Joe Lyons.
