Widnes Vikings are offering free rugby league and physical activity camps during October half-term, supported by Landscape World, WISSL and Skin Deep Aesthetics & Topaz Beauty and Holistics.
We will be providing all of the Primary and Secondary School children with a free nutritious meal as well as introductory nutrition sessions, age-appropriate gym work and rugby-specific activities on the pitch.
The camps will run on the pitch at the DCBL Stadium taking advantage of the first class facilities used by our very own first team players between 25-29 October, and will be split between Primary School-age and Secondary School-age children.
Sessions for Primary School children will be held between 9am and 1.30pm on Monday 25th, Wednesday 27th and Friday 29th and will include coaching from our club and community staff including Jack Owens and Danny Craven.
There will be a variety of activities both on the field and off it for the Primary School kids, including smoothie-making and basic gym training. There might even be an appearance from Kemik the Viking!
Secondary School-age sessions will be held between 9am and 4.30pm on Tuesday 26th and Thursday 28th and will also include coaching from staff with input from Jack and Danny both in the gym and on the field as well as nutrition sessions.
There will be a designated drop-off time from 8.30am each day in the car park of the DCBL Stadium.
Parents are asked to provide any medical or allergy information of their children via the booking system so that we can make appropriate arrangements regarding the meals and nutrition sessions.
You can book a free place on the camps by clicking the button below.
We kindly ask that you only book a free place if you are definitely going to attend, so that we are able to provide the correct amount of free meals.
