Try of the Season 2021

Voting is now open for our Try of the Season, with eight of the best tries from this season shortlisted for you to pick your favourite.

The effort with the most votes by midday on Thursday will be given our Try of the Season award at our End of Season dinner that evening.

The shortlist includes Ste Tyrer’s one-handed put down away at York City Knights, Deon Cross’ full-length try at home to London, and Jayden Hatton’s full-lengther after his intercept at Halifax Panthers.

Also included are an excellent team effort for Jack Owens’ try in Round 1 of the Betfred Championship at Newcastle Thunder, Adam Lawton fending off four men to put down at Featherstone Rovers in the 1895 Cup semi-final, and another long-distance try from Cross at York.

May’s Try of the Month from Danny Craven at home to Whitehaven is on the list as well, as is Jake Spedding’s try at Oldham earlier this season.

You can watch all of the tries via YouTube below before picking your winner.
