Widnes Vikings supporters can help the club deliver life-changing programmes in our community every time they shop at their local Co-op.
The Vikings Sports Foundation have once again been chosen as a charitable cause for the Local Community Fund, which sees 2p of every £1 spent by Co-op members go back into the community.
Co-op membership also benefits you, as 2p of every £1 spent is also placed back into your account as Rewards, which can be redeemed on most products within Co-op stores.
Last year our Foundation received an incredible £4,535.38 thanks to the generosity of our local community, meaning we could deliver brilliant projects such as Learning Disability Rugby League, Dementia support through our Chemics Café and School Sports sessions as well as many more projects.
During the current coronavirus pandemic, and national lockdowns, our Vikings Sports Foundation have found new ways to connect with people in our local community through remote activities.
Now, more than ever, it is important that we stay in touch safely in order to ensure everyone in the local community is getting the support they need through this difficult time. With the support of the Co-op Local Community Fund, we’re able to do just that.
