Widnes Vikings head coach Simon Finnigan was proud of his players after they performed under difficult personal circumstances in their victory over Swinton Lions on the final day of the 2021 season.
The players went out and put out a brave performance after learning the news of former Vikings player Liam Walsh’s tragic passing the night before the game.
Simon chose not to speak about the match itself but about the pride he felt towards his players and commented on how Widnes are a special club and a special town.
