Widnes Vikings are delighted to announce that Ryan Ince has signed a new two-year deal that will keep him with the club until the end of 2026.
Ince, 27, rejoined the club ahead of the 2022 season and has made 101 appearances for the Vikings, scoring 65 tries across his two spells with the club.
He has made 13 appearances so far this season scoring nine tries, he also picked up the Vikings Player of the Month award for March.
On his new deal, Ince said: “It’s my hometown club and I didn’t consider going anywhere else.
“I wanted to stay, I know all the lads here and I’m really enjoying my rugby so I’m made up we managed to get it over the line.”
He added: “I like Allan as a coach, I think he gets the best out of me. There is great competition here which makes me a better player.
“I think as a club we’re getting better and better, with Allan coming in the place has got a bit of a buzz around it again.
“We’re sitting fifth at the minute which is pretty good, so hopefully we can push for the playoffs and make it a good season.”
Head Coach Allan Coleman said: “Everybody at Widnes knows what Incey brings, he’s been absolutely outstanding for me.
“It’s very important that we keep the players at this club who will help us build moving forward and he is one we want to build this club around.
“To secure his services for the next two years is brilliant for the club.”
