ROLEHEAD OF STRENGTH & CONDITIONING
After leaving Cowley College in St Helens Billinge-born Nathan, of Polish descent, spent 6 years in the Army seeing service in both Oman and Cyprus. He then gained his Sports and Exercise Science degree at Manchester Metropolitan University and is now studying for his Masters in Strength and Conditioning at Salford University. After an Internship with St Helens and later assisting Adam Williams at Widnes in 2024, Nathan who has also worked with combat athletes was appointed ahead of the 2025 season. Also with experience as a Sports Scientist and Nutritionist Nathan identifies the managing of players’ training load and the desire to be fitter, faster and stronger as key areas of his new role. Describing the birth of his daughter as his life highlight the former Saints Academy and Reserve player, who began with Thatto Heath and Portico, cites winning representative honours with both England and Great Britain Community Lions against France and South Africa respectively, as highlights of his rugby career. Away from his role at Widnes Nathan is a fan of Liverpool FC and enjoys running and keeping fit while also managing the provision of swimming lessons for children.
