Last weekend, Widnes Vikings had a special guest in attendance against Toulouse Olympique – club legend John Devereux!
Devereux first joined the Vikings in 1989, and he went on to make over a century of appearances for the club.
During his time at Naughton Park, Devereux helped the club win the Lancashire Cup in 1990 and the Regal Trophy two years later.
The winger was also selected in the Great Britain squad that toured the Southern Hemisphere in 1992, and the team that came close to securing World Cup honours in that same year.
Last weekend, he joined us at the DCBL Stadium and spoke to supporters at half-time.
