Fitness with the Vikings – Episode 2

Fitness with the Vikings has officially launched, giving children and young people access to a free physical activity programme, which will encourage them to lead a healthier and more active lifestyle.

Each week, members of the Widnes Vikings First Team will be working alongside our staff to put together three sessions, which will be broadcast on our social media channels and website.

Today‚Äôs session will see you learn some rugby league skills suitable to perform at home, as long as you have some space in one of your rooms or you’re able to perform these skills outdoors.

Our aim for this initiative is to provide an opportunity for all school children to interact with this programme from our local community, ensuring that they have the tools to stay active and have social interaction during this difficult period. 

We want as many children as possible to join us for Fitness with the Vikings, so we will be encouraging everyone who takes part to send in their videos and pictures while taking part in the sessions, and these will be used on our social media channels and future sessions.
