Widnes Vikings can confirm full details regarding ticket sales for today’s pre-season friendly against Castleford Tigers at the DCBL Stadium (kick-off 3pm).
Our new Stadium Shop, located next to the old Ticket Window, is now open up until kick-off for all Vikings ticket sales while also selling a limited amount of merchandise. For this fixture only, all home supporters will be seated in the South Stand and will require a ticket, with no cash turnstiles operating today.
This means that supporters will need to visit the new Stadium Shop, or purchase via our new online system where an E-Ticket will be issued to your email for use on your mobile device. Supporters are advised to check their spam/junk folder if they are unable to find the email in their inbox.
Along with ticketing provider Crowdr, the club have worked hard to develop this new system, in order to help cut queues for tickets on match days and make tickets more accessible via our online platforms.
If you are unable to download your ticket to your phone, there is also an option for supporters to print tickets at home, with each E-Ticket containing a single use QR code which will be scanned at the turnstiles.
The club would advise all supporters who are purchasing a paper ticket to arrive at the Stadium Shop as early as possible, in order to avoid large queues gathering close to kick-off.
While today’s fixture marks the first home game in charge for Tim Sheens, it is also an opportunity for the club to utilise our new ticketing system which has been developed to improve the match day experience of our supporters and improve our marketing ability. Naturally, there may be teething problems as we integrate our new scanning machines on the turnstiles, but the club appreciates the patience of supporters in helping make today a success on an off the field.
