Widnes Vikings will retain the services of talented young centre Zach Eckersley for a further month.
Eckersley first joined the club on loan from Wigan Warriors at the beginning of April.
He scored a hat-trick on debut away at Swinton Lions on Good Friday, before adding to his try tally in the club’s 23-14 victory over Barrow Raiders before the mid-season break.

The teenager will now remain with the Vikings for their upcoming league fixtures, starting with a trip to Batley Bulldogs on Monday night.
Head coach John Kear admits he is delighted to see Eckersley extend his stay with the club.
“In such a short space of time, it has been clear to see exactly how talented a player Zach is,” he said.

“Zach has already demonstrated a number of excellent qualities, both in attack and defence, which make him a perfect fit for this group.
“He is a player who has a bright future ahead, and we look forward to furthering his development in a competitive environment.”
