Widnes Vikings would like to shine a light on a fantastic effort from lifelong supporter Chris Whitfield, who has launched a personal GoFundMe fundraiser in support of the Widnes Vikings Foundation, the club’s official charitable arm.
Chris has taken it upon himself to raise money to help the Foundation continue its work across Halton and the wider community, and we are pleased to share his fundraiser with supporters who may wish to get behind his efforts.
As part of his challenge, Chris is growing a beard throughout the whole of December — a month-long effort he’s dubbed “Decembeard” — to raise awareness and support for the Foundation’s work.
Supporting the Community Through the Foundation
The Widnes Vikings Foundation delivers a wide range of programmes focused on health, education, social inclusion, and community development. From engaging young people in sport to supporting older residents with wellbeing initiatives, the Foundation plays a key role in improving lives across our town.
Chris’s decision to fundraise is entirely his own initiative, and all donations made through his GoFundMe page will go directly towards helping the Foundation continue these valuable projects.
