The contenders
Ryan Ince v London (A)
The first try came in the very first match of the 2022 season, as we shifted the ball right and Lloyd Roby’s cut out pass was acrobatically finished by Ryan Ince in the corner.
Lloyd Roby v London (A)
Lloyd Roby was the scorer of the second try on the list, and it came in the same match away at London Broncos on the opening day. He backed up a searing Danny Craven break down the short side to touch down.
Matty Fozard v Workington (H)
An Eribe Doro offload set up the platform for the third try, Matty Fozard breaking through and executing a nice one-two with Lloyd Roby to score.
Adam Lawton v York (A)
Adam Lawton showcased his footballing skills for the fourth, taking a loose ball on the last tackle and putting a neat grubber through that he collected himself and beat the full-back away at York.
Kenny Baker v Workington (A)
In John Kear’s first game in charge, Kenny Baker pounced on a cute left-foot kick by Shane Grady after Matt Fleming had knocked down Matty Smith’s kick to the corner.
Joe Edge v Batley (A)
A high point of the season was this game decider away at Batley, as Joe Edge plucked an interception out of the air as the Bulldogs pressed and ran the full length down the hill to secure the win.
Jake Spedding v Featherstone (H)
Another interception try rounds off the list, as Jake Spedding showed his great pace by snaring a pass against Featherstone close to his own line and going all the way.
