The Vikings women’s team will be having a fundraising bucket collection following their game with Leigh Miners Rangers at the DCBL Stadium tomorrow.
As previously announced, the women’s team will be parading the League Cup trophy at half-time in our fixture with Bradford Bulls.
We hope as many Vikings fans as possible turn out to support them both in their league match with Leigh Miners and to give them a well-deserved round of applause on their recent success.
Sunday’s bucket collection will be to raise funds for our girls’ Rugby League Development Programme, aimed to grow the game further amongst young girls in the community.
Following the women’s team’s success last Sunday, we hope fans can see the direction the local women’s game is heading in and want to support the development of young girls in the community.
