Everyone at Widnes Vikings would like to congratulate Women’s team player Becca Thompson on her new commentary role with BBC Radio Cumbria!
Becca joined the club from Barrow Raiders ahead of this season and had previously been offering her services to BBC Radio Cumbria.
However, she has now been offered a position which will see her become the first female commentator in Rugby League for BBC Radio Cumbria, a huge achievement!
She said: “I’m so over the moon. Thank you to everyone who has supported me on my journey.
“Immense opportunity and I’m ready to make the most of it!
“Lastly a huge thank you to Dan Payne and co. for your help getting me to this point.”
