Widnes Vikings will kick off the 2024 Betfred Championship season at the DCBL Stadium against Barrow Raiders.
Our opening fixture against the Raiders on Sunday, 17 March kicks off at 3pm and will be the first league fixture for the new look Vikings side under Allan Coleman.
The two teams shared the spoils in last season’s matches. The Vikings won the first meeting 23-14 at the DCBL Stadium in April, before the Raiders returned the favour, running out 26-18 winners at Craven Park in June.
This will be the first time since 2019 that the Vikings have kicked off the Championship season at home, having faced away trips in each of the last four seasons.
The Vikings’ full fixture list for the 2024 season will be announced at 12pm tomorrow.
