Widnes Vikings are excited to announce the renewal of our dual registration partnership with Betfred Super League club Warrington Wolves for the 2025 season.
This continued collaboration will enable the club to work with Warrington throughout 2025, allowing players from the Wolves to move to the Vikings during the season on dual registration, giving them the opportunity to receive more game time.
Furthermore, we will face the Wire in a pre-season fixture at The Halliwell Jones Stadium on Friday 17 January, 7:30pm, as preparations continue ahead of the new season.
Ticket information will be released in due course.
Head Coach Allan Coleman said: “We had a lot of interest from clubs who wanted to dual reg with us, which was fantastic.
He added: “I have a close relationship with Gary Chambers and that definitely was a benefit for us. If you look at their squad again, there is a lot of quality in-depth and some great youngsters.
“We’re over the moon to continue the dual registration partnership with Warrington and can’t wait to work with them further.”
Warrington Wolves Director of Rugby, Gary Chambers said: “We’re looking forward to working with Allan Coleman and the team at Widnes again next season.
“This partnership will benefit both clubs massively and allows some of our younger players that opportunity to gain valuable first-team experience in a competitive league.”
