Widnes Vikings will visit Super League champions St Helens in Mark Percival’s testimonial fixture.
The pre-season friendly will take place at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Friday 27 January, with a kick-off time of 8pm.
It will be the Vikings’ third and final pre-season friendly ahead of the 2023 Betfred Championship season.
Entering his 10th season at St Helens, Widnes-born Percival played his junior rugby at local side Halton Farnworth Hornets before joining Saints’ academy side.

Percival made his debut for the nine-time Super League champions against Leeds Rhinos in 2013 and is now just one match shy of reaching 200 competitive appearances.
He has also gone on to represent England at international level, scoring twice in six matches.
On the fixture, Percival said: “I am delighted to now announce my testimonial fixture against Widnes.
“I was born in Widnes so this is a fitting opponent for me, and it will be a great opportunity for the fans to watch us prepare for our huge World Club Challenge in Australia a few weeks later.
“Widnes are a historic club and one of our local rivals so it is set to be a tough and entertaining clash.”

Pre-season fixtures against Rochdale Hornets and Oldham RLFC have already been confirmed ahead of the Vikings’ season-opener away at York RLFC Knights on Sunday 5 February.
