Widnes Vikings are delighted to announce that we have officially surpassed 1,000 season tickets sold for the 2026 Betfred Championship campaign.
This strong start puts the club firmly on track to surpass recent season ticket records, with sales significantly ahead of the same point in previous years.
The response from supporters has been outstanding, reflecting the optimism and enthusiasm building around the club as preparations for 2026 ramp up.
A key factor in the growth still to come is our new Community Club Season Ticket initiative, which offers full junior teams the chance to secure season tickets for the 2026 campaign. With a number of local community clubs set to join the programme in the coming weeks, this figure is only expected to rise further.
The initiative will continue to strengthen the bond between the Vikings and the local game, inspiring the next generation of players and supporters while reinforcing our commitment to grassroots rugby league across the town.

General Manager Tim Holmes said: “To reach over 1,000 season tickets is fantastic and shows the belief and excitement our supporters have in the direction we are heading.
“The response from our community clubs has been fantastic, and we’re proud to be creating opportunities for more young people to engage with the club. 2026 is shaping up to be a very special year.
“If any club wishes to sign up they can do so by emailing fans@widnesvikings.co.uk”
Season tickets remain available across all categories, offering the best-value way to secure your place for every home league fixture in 2026.
With numbers rising rapidly, supporters are encouraged to secure theirs early and be part of what promises to be a memorable campaign.

TALES OF THE SALES
The Vikings would also like to recognise two supporters whose contributions this year embody the spirit of our club and community.
Martin Hassett has generously purchased five Pass-It-On season tickets for local schools, doing so in memory of his son, who sadly passed away at this time last year. Martin’s heartfelt gesture will give young people across Widnes the chance to experience live rugby league, and the club is incredibly grateful for his support and the meaning behind it.
We’re also delighted to welcome back Joan Brown, who has returned to the Vikings family by purchasing a season ticket for the first time in several years. After previously being unable to attend due to work commitments, Joan’s return is another reminder of the loyalty and passion that runs through our fanbase.
Stories like Martin’s and Joan’s highlight the strength of our community and the deep connection so many people have with the club. We thank them, and every supporter, for being part of the journey ahead.
