Widnes Vikings, in partnership with Riverside College, have launched an online Employability Course for those aged 19 and over to help members of the local community get back on their feet post lockdown.
The NCFE Level 1 Employability course will have a host of benefits, including enabling students to bolster their CV and manage relationships in the workplace.
By completing this course you will also learn valuable skills surrounding interviews, ICT and time management, which will aid you in securing employment and develop vital skills.
The aim of the course, which will be distributed online to learners, is to make you work-ready once lockdown is over – whether you’re readapting to working life or starting on the road to employment.
There will be a number of units to complete the course, with all workbooks and learning materials sent out via email for students to work through at home. The units are designed so that students can work through the assignments alone and without supervision, however there will be a point of contact available to answer any questions and offer support.
Usually taught from the DCBL Stadium by the Vikings Learning Centre, the Employability course is available for free to anyone who is unemployed and aged 19 or over – however if you have been furloughed and are looking to develop your skills you will also be eligible.
This course offers you the perfect opportunity to use your time wisely during lockdown, while also ensuring you are best prepared for kick-starting your employment journey once it is safe to do so.
So, if you would like to make employment opportunities more accessible and achievable by gaining tools to make you work ready, improve your confidence and improve your motivation, then sign up for our Employability course.
