VIKINGS INVITE COMMUNITY SIDES TO CHAMPIONSHIP OPENER

The Vikings have invited a number of our local community teams to our Championship opener against Barrow Raiders at the DCBL Stadium on Sunday.

As fans may remember we invited several local age groups down to the DCBL Stadium for community training days with the Vikings’ first team and coaching staff over the last few months.

On these days the teams were all presented with tickets for our opening game with Barrow.

Head Coach Allan Coleman said: “It will be great to see the kids that have been involved in the community sessions over the last couple of months on Sunday.

“Moving forward, it is so important to us to make this club a place where all the local children want to come and be part of again.

“It is vital to engage with the young players in the town to get them connected with the idea of us being one club, and this has been an excellent start.”

Widnes Moorfield

Teams from Widnes Moorfield, Halton Farnworth Hornets, and West Bank Bears will all be in attendance at Sunday’s game.

It’s fantastic to have them coming to the game and we are committed to engaging with all of our community sides further!
