VIKINGS INJURY UPDATE

The club can provide an update on our current injury casualties.

Matty Fozard (Abductor) and Rhodri Lloyd (Calf) will both miss this weekend’s trip to Wakefield but are expected to be available for next Sunday’s clash with Sheffield Eagles.

Sam Wilde will also miss Sunday’s game with a hamstring strain, he is expected to miss a further 1-2 weeks.

Joe Edge has been diagnosed with two sportsman hernias following an MRI and Ultrasound scan. He will need surgery but the club are hopeful he will return before the end of the season.

Callum Field is now in a removable cast after suffering a dislocated wrist in our win over Halifax, however he remains several weeks from a return.

Martyn Reilly will return to full contact training at the end of this month, with a mid-September return date targeted.

Ollie Brookes’ knee injury is not as serious as previously thought. He has suffered an MCL Sprain but does not need surgery, he will undergo rehab and could potentially be available for selection in the latter stages of the season.

As previously stated, Danny Langtree and Nick Gregson will miss the remainder of the season as they await surgery after suffering dislocated shoulders in our game with Swinton Lions in July.
