On Saturday morning the Vikings held a club training session with all of our players from the Men’s, Women’s, LDRL & Wheelchair teams taking part.
It was fantastic to have our teams training together and building a strong bond as one club.
The Vikings also welcomed three of our community clubs down to the DCBL Stadium.
Teams from Halton Farnworth Hornets, Widnes Moorfield Tigers & West Bank Bears attended a community session with the Vikings first team.
It is fantastic to strengthen our ties with the local clubs and all of the teams thoroughly enjoyed meeting the lads.
Head Coach Allan Coleman said: “It’s vital that we get that mentality of being one club.
“We want to engage everybody with how we want to be, it’s been absolutely fantastic, all of the coaches have really engaged and the players have been loving it.”
Vikings Vice-Captain Rhodri Lloyd was also a big fan of the idea, he said: “It’s a fantastic opportunity for all of the teams to come together and see what we’re all about.
“I think it’s a massive day for the cub and it’s something the club hasn’t done for a long time.
“Getting everyone together as a community is a massive part of hopefully getting this club up and firing again.”
