Widnes Vikings have been drawn away to either Thatto Heath Crusaders or Seaton Rangers in the second round of this season’s Betfred Challenge Cup.
The Vikings join the rest of the teams from the newly-expanded Betfred Championship in entering the competition at the second round stage.
Last season saw Allan Coleman’s side reach the fourth round before falling to a 26-16 defeat at home to Warrington Wolves.
All second round ties will be played on the weekend of January 24-25.
