VIKINGS DONATE TICKETS TO ‘PRESCRIPTIONS FOR JOY’

Widnes Vikings are pleased to announce we donated 20 match tickets for Sunday’s Championship opener to Wellbeing Enterprises as part of their Prescriptions for Joy campaign.

Wellbeing Enterprises CIC, a health and well-being community organisation operating for almost 19 years, has teamed up with local businesses across Halton and will be providing well-being treats to people in the local community.

Head of Operations Christopher Hamilton said “Each year the club gets a lot of requests for donations etc and we always try to assist where we can.

“We were delighted to offer Wellbeing Enterprises a chance to bring some of their clients to the Barrow game, and by all accounts, they loved it.”

James Smith, Operations Manager at Wellbeing Enterprises CIC said: “It’s an absolute pleasure to collaborate with the Vikings to support the health and wellbeing of Halton citizens.

“Their generosity has brought joy and happiness to the community. Everyone loved the atmosphere on Sunday!

“The staff at the game were brilliant and it was great to see so many players who stopped for pictures after the game.

“Thanks again to the Vikings for offering the tickets.”

He added: “It can be challenging in the winter months to keep on track with our wellbeing goals, but as we enter into the New Year we might like to set some realistic goals to boost our mental and physical wellbeing.

“Our ‘Prescriptions for Joy’ and wellbeing courses are a perfect way to get started and make 2024 a healthy year.”
