Vikings’ Challenge Cup clash with Leigh to be played on Monday 28 February

We can confirm that our Challenge Cup Fourth Round clash at Leigh Centurions will be played on Monday 28 February at 7.45pm, live on Premier Sports.

Following on from three wins in three so far this season with a trip to Dewsbury to come next Monday night, the Vikings will be hoping to overcome their local rivals to kick off a cup run to accompany their strong league form.

Widnes have won the game’s oldest knockout competition seven times in 13 Final appearances, with four of the wins coming from seven Finals inside a decade between 1975-84.

Ticket details will be announced in due course, with supporters unable to travel able to watch the match live on Premier Sports.

The match will be the first Challenge Cup game shown on Premier Sports, after discount codes were offered to Vikings fans for subscriptions to the TV channel several weeks ago. These discount codes have now expired but supporters who took advantage of them will be able to stream the match live at a reduced rate.
