Widnes Vikings are delighted to announce that Tom Gilmore has signed a new two-year deal that will keep him with the club until the end of 2026.
Gilmore, 30, rejoined the club ahead of last season, he has made 90 appearances for the Vikings, scoring 19 tries across his two spells with the club.
He has appeared in every game for the Vikings so far this season, scoring two tries.
On his new deal, Gilmore said: “I’m happy to get it all sorted, two more years with my hometown club.
“It was an easy decision, the clubs got a real feel-good factor about it at the moment.
“I think I’m playing some of my best rugby at the minute so I’m happy to commit my future here.”
He added: “Earlier in my career I had a lot of injuries but it’s been nice to get a run of games together here.
“It’s positive at the moment, there are some very good things going on behind the scenes and on the pitch. So long may it continue.”
Head Coach Allan Coleman said: “I’m over the moon to keep Gilly as there’s been lots of interest in him.
“He has been in really good form and his experience is invaluable for me as a coach. I think if you can get players around him and learn from him we’ll be in a really good position.
“He’s a Widnes lad and you can see how much it means to him to commit his future to this club.”
