The latest Thunderbolt: Volunteers of the Week goes to those responsible for the excellent pop-up museum celebrating the history of Widnes Rugby League club at Widnes Market.
The pop-up museum is in situ at the Market until this Saturday, March 28th, and features a wide range of memorabilia from over the years, including shirts, scarves, photos and some more unusual mementos.
Many of the items on show come from the personal collection of Neil Davies and Jane Bell (pictured), and it has proved popular with plenty of fans and former players passing by to check out what’s on show.
The museum is also made possible thanks to the support of its volunteers: Joyce Houghton, Susan Froes, Maurice McGee, Leam Fox, and Leanne Brownlow.
The museum is open within Widnes Market from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
